According to foreign reports on February 1,2012,Sichuan Jiajiang Carbon Fiber Prepreg Production Line began operation,which is the largest carbon fiber prepreg production line in Western China.
After the completion of the project,the production line will form an annual production capacity of 10 million square meters of high-performance carbon fiber prepreg and 500 tons of carbon fiber composites.This production line was introduced from Switzerland by Sichuan Xinwanxing Carbon Fiber Composite Material Co.,Ltd.with a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan,of which 560 million yuan was used for the production of carbon fiber prepreg in the first phase.
Sichuan Xinwanxing Carbon Fiber Composite Material Co.,Ltd.is located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Jiajiang County,Sichuan Province,near Leshan and Emei Mountain.With a total area of 360,000 square meters and a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan,the company intends to engage in the R&D and manufacturing of high-performance resins,various prepregs and composite products for civil aviation,energy,automotive,transportation,medical equipment and high-end sports equipment markets.
