Sichuan Fiberglass Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sichuan Fiberglass" or "Company") is a third tier enterprise that was partially relocated from Shanghai Yaohua Glass Factory in 1968 and completed and put into operation in 1970. Its predecessor was "Sichuan Fiberglass Factory". The company is a subsidiary of Sichuan Furun Enterprise Restructuring Investment Co., Ltd., a provincial state-owned enterprise.
The company is a founder, pioneer, and developer of the fiberglass industry in southwestern China. It is one of the important production bases for China's electrical insulation and electronic fiberglass materials, an excellent enterprise in western China's electronic fiberglass materials, a high-tech enterprise, a contract abiding and trustworthy enterprise, and a certified enterprise with the "three systems" of quality, environment, and occupational health and safety. The Enterprise Technology Center has been recognized as the "Sichuan Provincial Enterprise Technology Center".
The company covers an area of over 800 acres, with a total asset of 1.4 billion yuan. It currently has over 1700 employees and over 400 professional and technical personnel. Currently, the company can produce 3 per year μ M-9 μ 30000 tons of alkali free glass fiber yarn, 10000 tons of continuous basalt fiber, 100 million meters of glass fiber cloth, over 2000 tons of optical glass, and over 300 tons of copper clad plate. The products are widely used in high-tech fields such as electronics, electrical appliances, environmental protection, aerospace, national defense and military industry.
In August 2020, the company completed the world's first 10000 ton continuous basalt tank kiln production demonstration line project, which was awarded the "China Continuous Basalt Fiber Production Base" by the China Glass Fiber Industry Association and the China Composite Materials Industry Association, and the "Sichuan Basalt Fiber Industry Base" by the Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Commission. The company has thus become a continuous basalt fiber research and production base.
During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the company will take technological innovation as the starting point, take the development of strategic emerging materials industry as an opportunity, and focus on achieving enterprise transformation, upgrading, and differentiated development. We will build the company into a large-scale research and development and production base for electronic materials, electrical insulation materials, basalt fibers, special glass fibers (including environmentally friendly membrane filter materials), structural functional composite materials, and optical materials in China, Strive to form a professional, specialized, and serialized large-scale enterprise group for the research and development and production of inorganic non-metallic materials with an annual output of 200000 tons of fibers, 100000 tons of products, an annual sales revenue of 2 billion yuan, and a profit of 200 million yuan.
