Sichuan Glass Fiber Group Co., Ltd. is a third-line construction enterprise which was partially relocated from Shanghai Yaohua Glass Factory in 1968 and completed and put into operation in 1970. In June 2013, it became a provincial state-owned enterprise.

The company has 51 years of development, products are widely used in electronics, electrical appliances, environmental protection, aerospace, national defense and other high-tech fields, is a national high-tech enterprises. Among them, "Sihai" brand electronic grade glass fiber cloth, electrical insulation glass fiber cloth, alkali-free glass fiber yarn series products have been rated as "Famous brand products in Sichuan Province" and "best-selling products in China building materials market" for 26 consecutive years. In August 2020, the Group company built the world's first continuous basalt fiber production line for 10,000-ton pool kiln, which is the world's largest single kiln, the world's first output, the most complete product range, and a milestone in the history of the development of basalt fiber in the world.

The company is building an industrial park for inorganic non-metallic materials in Luojiang Economic Development Zone and a production base for glass fiber yarn (including glass fiber yarn, basalt fiber, P fiber, optical glass, etc.) in Chengnan Industrial Park. Construction of glass fiber cloth (including electronic grade glass fiber cloth, electrical insulation cloth, filter cloth, composite materials, etc.) and glass fiber deep processing base in Jinshan Industrial Park.
